Your Role

This position provides structural engineering design support for pipeline,

pump/compressor station, and terminal/tank projects nationwide. You will

work with a multi-disciplinary project team, under the supervision of a

Professional Engineer. A successful candidate will bring design engineering

and technical expertise to a team of established consultants with a proven

track record of 40+ years in the Oil & Gas Industry.

We will provide training that will allow our structural engineers to quickly

become active members of our design team.

Typical tasks will include but not limited to -

Steel structure design

Concrete foundation design

Structural engineering calculations

Qualifications

B.S. in ABET accredited Structural Engineering program.

0-5 years of relevant experience.

Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE).

Licensed Professional Engineer Civil branch (PE Civil) or Licensed

Professional Structural Engineer (SE).

Ability and desire to sit for the 8-hour NCEES Professional Engineer PE

exam, if not currently licensed.

Desire to sit for the 16-hour NCEES SE exam preferred.

Understand structural engineering design, analysis, and development of

scope of work documents.

Ability to apply structural engineering knowledge and techniques for

industrial capital projects.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Experienced working closely with drafters, designers, and modelers to

produce quality drawings.

AutoCAD or Revit familiarity/experience

Must be able to communicate with peers, contractors, and clients clearly

and efficiently.

Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.

Must be a self-starter, possess ability to work well within a group

setting, be eager to learn and expand your skillset, and be detail oriented.

NCEES record preferred.

Knowledge in the Midstream Oil and Gas industry, specifically crude oil,

refined products, CO2, NGL, wet and natural gas preferred.

A Pre-employment drug screening in compliance with state regulations is

required.

Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without

restrictions.

Target salary range: $75,000 to $82,000. Please note that Tetra

Tech considers various factors in determining pay, including but not limited

to: education, relevant and demonstrated work experience in the role,

skills, geographic location, qualifications, certifications, and other

competencies relevant to the needs of the business.
