ABOUT THE ROLE

The Project Analyst role is ideal for detail-oriented, analytical problem-solvers who enjoy working in a team, learning new skills, and contributing to high-impact projects. Whether you're a recent graduate, a career changer, or someone with a passion for organization and technology, this contract-to-hire position offers hands-on experience .software configuration, project documentation, issue tracking, and working directly with government enterprise software platforms. You’ll gain exposure to industry-specific technologies used for permitting, licensing, and citizen services.


You'll begin by shadowing senior team members during client meetings and working sessions where you will be taking notes, learning industry terminology, and tracking action items. Over time, you’ll develop skills in client collaboration, troubleshooting, and technology consulting, building a solid foundation for a career in project management or business systems analysis.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Learn & Develop – Receive training in consulting, project methodologies, and enterprise permitting software.
  • Technology Exposure – Work directly with permitting systems gaining hands-on experience in software configuration, workflow setup, and business rule implementation. Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint, and SQL is a plus but not required.
  • Software Configuration – Implement business rules and workflows within government permitting software (no coding required).
  • Troubleshoot & Problem-Solve – Apply critical thinking to support team deliverables and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally – Work closely with internal teams and eventually with clients.
  • Organize and Track Tasks with Follow-Through – Naturally organized and dependable when juggling multiple action items and deadlines. Doesn't let things fall through the cracks and uses tools or systems to stay on top of everything.
  • Grow Continuously – Expand both technical and professional skills through mentorship and real-world experience.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.)
  • Strong interest in technology, project management, and consulting
  • Availability for occasional evening or weekend work
  • Ability to commute to Irvine, CA 2 - 3 times per week

  • $25-30 / Hour (Full-time, Contractor)
