Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Entry Level Controls Engineer to design, develop, and implement control systems for industrial automation and manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have their bachelors degree in mechanical, electrical, chemical engineering, or a related field.

Location:

  • Phoenix, AZ 85027

Schedule:

  • 9 Hour days
  • Monday - Friday (Must be in office before 8:30am)
  • This job will require up to 50% travel.

Pay:

  • Dependent upon experience
  • Base salary $60,000 - $75,000 + annual bonus
  • Yearly raises based on performance
  • Travel per diem
  • Travel bonus incentives

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement control systems using PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and other industrial automation tools.
  • Program and troubleshoot PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.) and develop HMI screens.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to develop integrated systems.
  • Create wiring diagrams, schematics, and control panel layouts using AutoCAD or similar software.
  • Commission control systems on-site and remotely, including setup, testing, and debugging.
  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for existing control systems.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations.
  • Maintain documentation of control systems, software code, and configurations.
  • Assist in training maintenance and operations staff on new systems and processes.

Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will be a recent grad and MUST HAVE a bachelors degree in mechanical, electrical, chemical engineering, or related field required.
  • Must be willing to undergo a background check and drug screening in accordance with local law and regulations.
  • Must have a valid drivers license and reliable means of transportation.
  • Experience with PLC's / microcontrollers is a bonus.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN for control panel design.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel to job sites as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of robotic systems or motion control.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, automotive, or food & beverage industries.
