The Third Party Risk Manager will assist the team with the development of Freddie Mac's approach to managing third party risk in line with leading and evolving industry practices, and for reporting and monitoring of the third party specific risk profile.
The Manager will work in collaboration with the business risk leads to oversee the implementation of the third party risk framework, policies, and standards in the business and monitoring adherence. You will assist the program with oversight of the third party risk type and have a view of the risk profile across the enterprise.

Your Impact:
You will be an integral part of the team and your work will fall into the following:
Process Management & Implementation
* Drive consistent implementation and adherence to the third party risk framework elements in the 1LOD (e.g., policies, standards, tools, etc.) across Freddie Mac (in conjunction with business-aligned risk partners, who act as the central point of contact for 1LOD)
* Provide guidance to 1LOD on implementing and maintaining third party management processes, mitigating risks and implementing controls (in conjunction with business-aligned risk partners)
* Support development of third party domain risk framework, policies, risk appetite, and risk taxonomy. Collaborate with the divisions, second line and third line partners to ensure consistency with the overall operational risk framework, policies, and standards
* Support development of content for the required training for the lines of businesses and supporting functions (e.g. Finance) on third party risk management topics (e.g., framework, policies, emerging risks) and collaborate with the stakeholders as well as business-aligned risk partners to deliver it
* Establishing, supporting and promoting standard processes related to third party risk approaches
Subject Matter Advisory, Support & Training
* Support building of key relationships for the monitoring and assessment of identification, severity and remediation of high-risk third party issues across the enterprise
* Pursuing coalition building and advising business partners on the implementation of the Third Party framework to ensure adherence to 3rd Party policies, standards and procedures
* Coordinating efforts for developing, facilitating and delivering of training related to the Third Party Risk framework
* Communicate and support implementation of any third party risk reporting requirements within the lines of business in collaboration with key partners
* Monitor operational risk and optimizing approaches for third party risk reduction, interpreting results, evaluating third party risk profile impact, and identifying trends and emerging risks
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in related field
* 7+ years of demonstrated ability in operational risk management at a large financial services institution(s)
* Knowledge of the third party management lifecycle and its overall business processes, controls and risk exposure (e.g., third party identification, selection, management, termination), and applicable laws and regulations
* Understanding of regulatory requirements and expectations related to operational risk management (e.g., FHFA)
* Ability to work optimally and collaboratively with diverse group of partners
* Ability to empower and inspire action through interpersonal skills such as relationship building
* Strong intuition for business and problem-solving ability

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $124,000 - $186,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
