Position Overview
As an Enterprise Solutions Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise solutions that power both eCommerce and internal sales operations. This role requires deep expertise in omnichannel retail best practices, order management systems (OMS), inventory management, middleware development, and front-end commerce solutions. You will play a key role in modernizing legacy systems, integrating new technologies, and optimizing business operations through automation and seamless system interoperability. Essential Functions, Duties & Accountabilities
Enterprise Commerce Solutions & Modernization
* Design and implement scalable enterprise commerce solutions, ensuring alignment with business growth, fulfillment strategies, and automation initiatives.
* Optimize internal order processing and point-of-sale (POS) workflows for sales teams, improving efficiency across both digital and in-house sales channels.
* Lead the transition from legacy ERP and OMS systems to modern, cloud-based platforms, ensuring seamless data migration and minimal business disruption.
* Continuously refine order routing, fulfillment speed, and inventory allocation based on real-time data insights.
System Integration & Middleware Development
* Support the development of robust integrations between OMS, ERP, CRM, WMS, POS, and eCommerce platforms using modern web APIs, middleware, and ETL tools.
* Ensure real-time order synchronization, inventory accuracy, and seamless cross-platform workflows through well-designed integration strategies.
* Collaborate with IT and business teams to proactively resolve data inconsistencies and system interoperability challenges.
Data Governance, Performance, & Reporting
* Establish data governance policies to ensure high data quality and compliance across order, inventory, and customer records.
* Analyze historical and real-time data to detect inefficiencies, optimize workflows, and improve order fulfillment performance.
* Implement system monitoring, logging, and performance tuning strategies to enhance scalability and stability.
Troubleshooting & Technical Support
* Proactively monitor enterprise commerce workflows, identifying and resolving issues impacting order flow, fulfillment, invoicing, and customer experience.
* Implement automated alerts, logging, and diagnostics to detect and address disruptions before they impact operations.
* Work closely with Digital Solutions and operations teams to develop issue resolution playbooks and ensure long-term system stability.
Collaboration & Documentation
* Work closely with sales, customer service, finance, and operations to ensure technology solutions align with business needs.
* Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications, ensuring seamless execution by development teams.
* Maintain comprehensive documentation of enterprise commerce workflows, system integrations, and troubleshooting procedures.
Compliance & Security
* Ensure enterprise commerce workflows adhere to compliance regulations (PCI, SOX, CCPA) and company security policies.
* Implement role-based access controls (RBAC) to protect transactional data and enforce security best practices.

Educational Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent experience in an enterprise commerce role.
Experience and Skills
* 7-10 years of experience in enterprise IT environments, with 5+ years focused on ERP, OMS, and enterprise commerce platforms.
* Expertise in enterprise retail best practices, including order management, inventory management, fulfillment automation, and POS solutions.
* Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to evolving technology landscapes.
* Experience integrating third-party applications and services, including payment gateways, PIMs, ERPs, and OMS platforms.
* Experience with API development and microservices architecture, leveraging GraphQL and RESTful services.
* Proficiency in working with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and version control systems like Git.
* Demonstrated ability to collaborate across engineering, product, and business teams to drive technical solutions.
Specialized Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
* Proven expertise in ERP systems (both legacy and modern, such as Direct Commerce, Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, or Oracle NetSuite), including order management, fulfillment, and invoicing workflows.
* Strong experience in system integration between OMS, ERP, CRM, WMS, and eCommerce platforms, leveraging APIs, middleware, and ETL tools for real-time data synchronization.
* Deep understanding of order routing, fulfillment automation, and exception handling within large-scale transactional systems.
* Hands-on experience with data governance, validation, and reconciliation across multiple platforms, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
* Familiarity with system monitoring tools, performance tuning, and troubleshooting methodologies to proactively identify and resolve ERP-related issues.
* Knowledge of compliance and security best practices, including PCI, SOX, and CCPA, as they relate to order management, payment processing, and fraud prevention.
* Experience with DevOps, Agile methodologies, and automation frameworks, including CI/CD pipelines.
* Ability to architect and implement solutions that balance business needs, customer experience, and technical feasibility.
* Knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in ecommerce, including AI-driven personalization, CDPs, and machine learning applications.
* Strong problem-solving skills, capable of diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues.
* Excellent technical communication skills, with the ability to explain complex solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
