Job Description

This Director will lead the development and enterprise-wide adoption of foundational and advanced sales learning strategies across multiple lines of business including Consumer and Business Banking, Payments, Institutional, Commercial and Wealth Management. This role will lead a team responsible for aligning sales capability development with business goals and delivering measurable impact for sales professionals, sales leaders, and coaches.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, evolve, and govern core and common curriculum for sales onboarding, consultative selling, sales coaching, and product learning.
  • Ensure solutions are tailored where needed but consistent in philosophy, framework, and measurement congruent with Enterprise leadership and sales professional expectations.
  • Align strategy with performance data, customer insights and business growth priorities.
  • Optimize sales training investments and reduce duplication.
  • Manage internal relationships with Instructional Design, Facilitation, and Learning Enablement to drive projects effectively.
  • Oversee implementation of scalable learning approaches championing innovation and blended solutions.
  • Manage key metrics and evaluate training effectiveness.
  • Partner across Learning Directors and Talent Consultants to ensure consistent delivery, administration, and evaluation of training programs.
  • Effectively manage and mitigate inherent risks.
  • Manage prioritization needs to ensure proper alignment of resources and capacity to business unit and company priorities.


Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in business, human resources or related field, or equivalent work experience - 10 or more years of learning and development, HR, or business experience.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Master's degree in Instructional Design, Organizational Development, Business, or related field.
  • Deep expertise in sales methodology, adult learning theory, and curriculum design for both individual contributors and sales professionals.
  • Experience in sales enablement in financial services.
  • Proven success as a trusted strategic partner to senior leaders with strong consulting, influence and relationship building skills.
  • Experience delivering enterprise learning strategies with measurable outcomes.
  • Track record of establishing a strong and credible brand for learning.
  • Consistently models professionalism, executive presence, and clear communication when engaging with cross-functional stakeholders.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $170,255.00 - $200,300.00 - $220,330.00
