The Enterprise Architect for Data will work closely with business stakeholders to create and manage data products that drive business value. This role will need a strong background in data architecture, business analysis, and a deep understanding of how data can be leveraged to meet business objectives. Additionally, exceptional communication skills and ability to work closely with lines of business.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify data needs and opportunities for data products.
• Lead the analysis of source systems, performing thorough data profiling and data quality analysis.
• Design suitable data models and semantic layers for data warehouses and analytical reporting.
• Define and document the source-to-target mappings for data integration.
• Collaborate with Data Platform Services team on the design and strategy for reference data services.
• Work with subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify how data is related to business, application, and infrastructure architecture.
• Support the identification of key elements necessary to understand the health and performance of data architecture.
• Ensure that division data architecture solutions align with broader enterprise data strategy.
• Lead efforts to develop and maintain architectural assets for the business domains.
• Closely collaborate with enterprise architecture to advocate the sharing knowledge across the organization

Key Responsibilities

Business Collaboration

• Build and maintain relationships with key business leaders who oversee business critical systems
• Establish ongoing collaborative relationships and build trust with key stakeholders.
• Engage stakeholders in defining detailed requirements for data products cross-functionally. Includes clear understanding of personas involved and desired user experience for data products to be created.
• Conduct regular business sensing meetings with key members to continually understand evolving business needs.

IT Collaboaration

• Establish regular cadence to understand architectural direction and governance models for successful implementation of data products.
• Create repeatable model for quickly deploying new data products, while maintaining data quality, and enterprise architectural standards
• Work closely with business aligned IT teams

New Technology

• Encourage associates to complete their own investigations and report their findings to the unit. Provide coaching and guidance on how to do this based on experience.
• Guides implementation of new technology solutions through standardized architecture review and project evaluation preparation and judgement.
• Evaluate projects against division standards for technology, security, quality, and budget.Assign homework and follow-up items for the team.
• Evaluate proposed system changes.
• Leverage technology conferences, paid consulting services and internal research to identify promising ideas and concepts for in-depth analysis by the unit.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
• Proven experience in data architecture, business analysis, and data product management.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to support multiple and complex projects simultaneously.
• Experience with data modelling standards, tools, and best practices.
• Knowledge of cloud computing, big data technologies, and data integration techniques.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
