Enterprise Architect

My well known Sweden based client is seeking an Enterprise Architect with a strong background in banking and financial systems to join the team on a 12 month contract starting in June 2025. They are seeking a Consultant with a passion for building innovative Fintech solutions, shaping architecture and contributing to business success. You will join a dynamic team expanding its footprint in the banking sector and contribute to the evolution of one of the world's largest fintech solutions, serving nearly half a billion users, and helping shape the future of financial services.

As an Enterprise Architect you will play a pivotal role in shaping the client engagements and technical capabilities within the banking domain. You will reside in the R&D organization and take a leading role in shaping future architecture and functional capabilities while at the same time working closely with business builders to accelerate market presence and build trust with new customers.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Leverage your expertise in banking architecture to translate business requirements into architectural designs and guide the development of solutions that align with customer needs.
• As enterprise architect you will evolve architectural and functional innovation for banking segment.
• Collaborate with Product Management as a technical advisor to identify and address architectural and system gaps needed to succeed in the banking segment.
• Support our business builders in driving the growth of our banking segment through technical expertise, innovative approaches, building trust and demonstrate our capabilities in delivering tailored solutions.
• Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
• Inspire and lead teams with your self-driven, trustworthy, and engaging personality.
• We are looking for a banking expert with latest know-how in the Banking domain (both Core Banking & Digital Banking).

Business domain experience

• Collateralized and non-collateralized loans
• Open Banking and Agile banking tech architecture and transformations
• Banking rails for cross-border payments (specially the transformation and innovations coming in this space)
• Banking instruments (including chequebooks, DDs, LCs, Guarantees etc. and their digital twins and alternatives such as Digital assets and DLTs)
• Regulatory regime for digital first banks across the target regions
• Fraud management and regulatory changes with respect to financial service providers responsibilities
• Business banking and portfolio management
• Wealth management, portfolio management and money market space
• Insurance touchpoints with banking services
• Fintech vs Digital banks, regulatory transformations

Candidate profile

• +5 years of experience in architecture within the banking sector, with a deep understanding of its specific challenges and requirements.
• University degree (MSc or BSc) in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of the financial services market, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies.
• Excellent communication in English and interpersonal skills to engage and inspire customers and colleagues.

Assignment details

Start date: preferably asap, or latest by the 1st of September 2025.

End date: minimum 1 year, or longer.

Working model . 60% onsite at customer office.
