We are looking for a PostgreSQL DBA with proven experience in administering large-scale databases.

The ideal candidate should have 4-5 years of experience in PostgreSQL administration and performance tuning.

Experience in MongoDB administration will be an added advantage.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Install and configure PostgreSQL databases in customer environments.
• Monitor and configure Disaster Recovery (DR) replication.
• Implement security best practices as per organizational and customer guidelines.
• Set up monitoring processes to track database performance metrics and trigger alerts.
• Respond promptly to alerts to minimize business impact.
• Design and implement recovery strategies for database crashes.
• Conduct periodic audits on database objects and provide optimization recommendations.
• Set up and maintain regular backups and participate in mock restoration drills.
• Install and configure PostgreSQL databases in in-house development environments.
• Develop and maintain shell scripts for PostgreSQL automation.
• Optimize database performance and tuning.
• Monitor alert logs and take necessary actions.
• Provide on-demand support for unforeseen database issues, including outside regular business hours.
  
  

Skills And Qualifications

• Graduate/Post-Graduate in Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong expertise in PostgreSQL database administration and performance tuning.
• Experience in managing large-scale PostgreSQL databases.
• Proficiency in writing shell scripts for database automation.
• Working knowledge of MongoDB administration (Preferred).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
