Overview ENGINEERING SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR (MIELS): Bowhead is seeking Engineering Systems Administrators to support a customer in Stafford, VA. Support for the contract will consist of program management; logistics; asset management; engineering; customer service; research and development of new capabilities; test and evaluation; manpower, training, and personnel; new equipment fielding and training; financial management; information assurance; cybersecurity; and 24X7 enterprise services operations and sustainment. Responsibilities * Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of operating systems and related software on proem and in the cloud. * Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and performance. * Install and maintain infrastructure services including: Servers, Storage, KVM, etc as required in support of enterprise operations. * Implement and manage security measures to comply with DoD/IC policies and regulations. * Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with security policies and regulations. * Administer and support physical and virtual servers across multiple sites. * Ensure proper configuration and health of server hardware, including storage and compute resources. * Develop and implement scripts to automate system administration tasks. * Provide advanced support for technical issues escalated from lower tier administrators or end users. * Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. * Collaborate with other teams to support system integrations and new initiatives. * Assess system performance and scalability to ensure infrastructure can support future growth. Qualifications * Associates degree, or five (5+) years' of practical experience in system administration management. * DoD 8570 / 8140 compliance or information assurance certification commensurate with technical objectives and services required within the task order. * Applicable software or hardware training and certifications commensurate with the technical objectives, services required, and IT environment specified. * Cloud certified. Physical Demands: * Must be able to lift 25 pounds * Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time * Must be able to twist, bend, and squat periodically SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Top Secret/SCI level with Counter Intelligence Polygraph.
