ZAPATA is a full-service architecture and engineering company with operations throughout the Continental United States in support of Department of Defense, federal government, and private sector clients. The company is seeking temporary Engineering Interns to work in the Charlotte, NC office.

Position Summary

This position observes and assists in engineering design for various projects to gain exposure in related field of study. Provides additional support to others as needed.

Responsibilities/Duties

Under the direction of a Professional Engineer assists with

• Plans and designs
• Preparation of written reports
• Specifications or construction cost estimates
• General administrative and office support
  
  

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree Program in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Knowledge of applicable design and building codes commiserate with education level
• Working knowledge of AutoCad and applicable engineering software
• Computer proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Strong written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
