Job Summary: Lead and manage engineering projects related to the development of commercial HVAC products. Collaborate across product engineering, systems engineering, heating engineering, controls engineering, and product management teams to deliver innovative, efficient, and high-quality solutions.
Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage HVAC product development projects from concept to production.
- Collaborate with product engineering, systems engineering, heating engineering, controls engineering, and product management teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Ensure projects adhere to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Apply mechanical engineering expertise to guide projects, enabling effective design optimization and ensuring alignment with cross-functional engineering efforts.
- Leads project teams, facilitates meetings, and ensures understanding of deliverables.
- Monitor and mitigate risks, resolving issues promptly to ensure project success.
- Serve as the main point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular project updates and reports.
- Coordinate and guide cross-functional teams to meet project milestones and maintain alignment on objectives.
- Develop standard processes and templates for project reporting.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging HVAC technologies, integrating them into product development processes.
Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s in mechanical engineering or related technical field.
Project Management Accreditation (APMP, PMI, Prince 2 or equivalent) is a plus.
3-5 years of experience in engineering and R&D specifically in commercial HVAC systems.

Work Environment
- Primarily works in an office environment.
- Ability to sit or stand up to 95 percent of work hours.
- Periodic visits to the manufacturing facility with seasonal hot and cold temperatures, dust, and some chemical fume exposure.
- Travels when necessary for third party testing or product review at field test sites.
- Lift up to 50lbs.
