Summary

Harry and David is seeking an undergraduate student interested in Project Management for a paid 2024 internship at our Medford, OR location. Our internship offers the chance to join one of Jackson County's premier employers and apply their education and experience in a practical setting. The Project Management Intern will expose themselves to a number of projects and operations to become familiar with the materials and equipment involved. This role requires seeing different members of the management team, using education, as well as cross functional skills to address various situations. Project Management Intern will gain an appreciation for keeping an eye on the "big picture" while addressing individual issues. Project Management Intern will also be responsible for coordinating deliverables, communications, status updates, and execution for various projects within the Operations, Facilities and Maintenance organization. The Intern will aid in updating existing project files through completion, help manage deadlines, coordinate workflow with internal creative staff and external resources, and collaborate with the cross-functional team members throughout the life of each project. Relocation assistance/housing could be provided for the right candidate. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Major responsibilities of the position are listed below. Other duties, assignments and specific projects may be assigned at the discretion of management. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. * Create and perform standard work tasks and documents for various projects on campus. * Perform routine project management assignments of related tasks which are typically a focused portion of larger projects. These tasks provide experience and familiarization with the engineering staff, methods, techniques, theories, Corporate and division SOP's, policies and projects. * Document development work including writing specifications for manufacturing or systems, * Ability to solve routine design and engineering tasks with some assistance. Able to solve problems with periodic monitoring. * Assist in the preparation and participation in technical reviews and responsible for organizing data and preparing appropriate documentation for assigned projects. * Learn, understand, and apply rigorous quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). * Shepherd projects through development, design, and production to final delivery * Work with team leaders to define resources needed for project completion.
