What to Expect
The Engineering Program Manager is an integral part of the Autopilot and Electronic Systems Engineering Team. This role will be responsible for managing product development programs for Tesla Semi vehicle controllers. Key objective will be ensuring programs success through planning, executing, and communicating while driving effective collaboration of cross-functional teams.
What You'll Do
Ensure program goals, scope, and requirements are clearly defined by stakeholders, documented, and approved by stakeholders
Create program roadmaps and detailed timeline outlining milestones, critical paths, and deliverables
Lead cross-functional teams to ensure timely program delivery through effective collaboration.Ensure team efforts align with project goals and scope, increasing personnel potential by eliminating low-value or non-contributory tasks
Manage scope and schedule changes to minimize impact on overall objectives
Manage and track engineering sample demand and supply, coordinating with the supply chain and others to meet engineering needs
Maintain open communication with all stakeholders, ensuring their expectations are understood and managed
Monitor program progress and provide regular updates on status, including key performance metrics, challenges, and escalations
Track and manage potential risks with mitigation and contingency plans to minimize program impact
What You'll Bring
Bachelor’s Degree, in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience and proof of exceptional abilities
1+ years experience in product development, ideally with product shipping experience in medium-to-high volume industry
Demonstrated ability to understand complex development projects and identify critical elements
Detail oriented with strong documentation and organizational skills
Demonstrated ability to effectively work cross-functionally between engineering, suppliers, testing, manufacturing, production, and supply chain personnel
Experience in planning activities and vendor management in an engineering environment
Individual contributor design engineering experience in electromechanical products is highly valued

Expected Compensation
$100,000 - $258,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
