The Hithium Engineering Team wants to expand and is looking for a highly motivated self-starter with a drive for action. The Engineering Program Manager requires a highly organized individual who can synthesize complex, ambiguous requirements into inputs that feed the local Plant & Project Teams. You will be the primary interface between the China HQ Engineering Team, the local Engineering Team, and the local Projects Team during the design and development of new products, processes, equipment, and factories. The Program Manager will identify and understand program dependencies, risks, and disconnected information and distill data into clear messages/plans. You can communicate & influence a wide range of staff, from senior leaders to junior staff, to support program goals.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop Engineering project plans and secure leadership alignment
  • Defines and effectively communicates project scope & prioritization for engineering teamScope & implements innovative engineering and design strategies to support aggressive program objectives
  • Own execution of high-quality engineering deliverables needed for procurement, costing, permitting, installation, and launch activities
  • Owns equipment and process development program schedule, funding requests with the broader team, and cross-functional design reviews (2D & 3D)
  • Lead Design for Manufacturing and Assembly DFMA Initiatives for the Launch of New Products and Retrofits to Current Programs
  • Serve as the primary engineering point of contact for North American Engineering, translating the engineering strategy & requirements to the Facility Project Team
  • Own engineering project status reporting of progress, actions, and risks
  • Provides input into the design of the product, process, and equipment utilizing
  • Indirectly leading the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Team
  • Provide technical direction to the program inputs and participate in the development of training programs during the launch phase of all projects
  • Ability to travel, including internationally, up to 40%


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years managing multiple complex projects to success simultaneously
  • Experience leading engineering development for processes and custom automation equipment
  • Full understanding of all engineering disciplines and ability to demonstrate skills to manage engineering resources
  • Experience designing manufacturing processes, highly automated equipment, and quality inspections for the assembly of electromechanical systems.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to understand complex topics/ problems and distill the message clearly
  • 5+ years utilizing MS Project or similar project management tools
  • Proficiency and understanding of IPC and ISO Standards
  • Fluent domain of the English Language: Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Experience working with international cultures


Desired Qualifications:

  • Program Management Professional (PgMP)
  • Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Ability to Speak Mandarin
  • Experience in Lithium Battery or manufacturing of electrical components o
