Engineering Manager – Vancouver (Hybrid) 3 days onsite

We are looking for a technically skilled leader to support our Vancouver-based engineering team as we work toward the launch of a new product this summer. This role involves guiding the team in delivering high-quality work, managing workloads, promoting productivity, and creating a collaborative and forward-thinking environment. You will work closely with the VP of Engineering and partner with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth alignment and successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the day-to-day operations and performance of the engineering team
• Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives
• Provide technical guidance and remove obstacles that hinder engineering progress
• Support the timely and high-quality delivery of projects and features
• Contribute directly to development tasks such as feature implementation, bug fixes, and other critical activities when needed
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering leaders to prioritize work and drive project success

Qualifications

• At least 6 years of experience in software development, including 2 or more years in a leadership or management role supporting distributed teams
• Strong technical foundation with hands-on programming experience and a degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Ruby on Rails is a must have
