The Role

As an Engineering Manager, you will be both a hands-on engineer and a leader, driving technical excellence while building and nurturing a high-performing team. You will write and review code, contribute to architectural decisions, and ensure seamless execution across engineering and product teams. Beyond your technical contributions, your key focus will be on leadership, mentoring engineers, hiring top talent, and fostering a culture of growth, collaboration, and innovation.

What You Will Do:

• Lead and inspire. Set a high bar for engineering excellence, guiding engineers on best practices, system design, and problem-solving.
• Build and scale a high-performing team. Hire, onboard, and develop world-class engineers while creating an environment where they can thrive.
• Drive execution and alignment. Keep projects on track by removing blockers, aligning engineering with product goals, and ensuring smooth collaboration across teams.
• Coach and develop talent. Provide clear, actionable feedback, set strong performance goals, and create career growth opportunities for your team.
• Foster a culture of innovation and ownership. Empower engineers to take initiative, make decisions, and continuously improve processes.
• Strengthen our employer brand. Represent the engineering team through networking, events, and thought leadership, attracting top-tier talent.

What You Bring:

• Proven leadership experience, managing and mentoring engineers at different levels.
• A passion for people management, with a track record of growing and developing engineering teams.
• Hands-on engineering expertise, particularly in backend development (JavaScript, Node.js) and cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, ensuring alignment between engineering, product, and business objectives.
• An execution-focused mindset, balancing strategic leadership with hands-on problem-solving.
• Experience in Agile environments, with a history of coaching teams to deliver high-impact work efficiently.
• A proactive approach to challenges, adapting quickly in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.
