Responsabilities

  • Lead and create developmental plans for engineering and technical direct reports.
  • Perform annual and quarterly performance reviews for direct reports
  • Hiring responsibilities for all plant engineering and technical resources
  • Daily technical leadership that includes project and production support prioritization
  • Develop and propose annual improvement activities for production equipment and processes. Includes generating budgets, schedules, capital appropriations, resources planning and project execution.
  • Work collaboratively with Corporate Product and Advanced Manufacturing Engineering departments on plant strategic and new product programs.
  • Participate and lead plant Kaizen activities that drives annual cost savings
  • Develop and lead all maintenance resources and responsibilities. Includes the use of MTBF and MTTR and other KPI’s to track performance.
  • Responsible for technical updates to Plant and Corporate leadership. Includes creation of presentation content.
  • KPI’s tracking and improvement plan implementation (Safety, OEE, Downtime, Scrap, Productivity, Capital Plan, Cost Reductions, etc.).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish)
  • Minimum five to ten years as an engineering manager
  • Strong team leadership, organizational and management skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Great analytical and math skills
  • Ability to interact with many people at variety of levels within and outside of the reporting structure.
  • Analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Communication skills for overseeing staff and working with other management personnel.
  • Organizational skills for keeping track of various budgets, employees, and schedules simultaneously.
