Summary

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Engineering Manager to lead a talented team of engineers working on Aircraft modifications. As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing engineering projects from concept through delivery, ensuring technical excellence, meeting deadlines, and fostering a collaborative, innovative, and high-performance engineering culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers to successfully execute aerospace projects. Provide technical guidance and support while helping to develop their career growth and skills.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams (PMO, Design, Structures, manufacturing, testing, etc.) to ensure smooth project execution. Communicate effectively with other departments to align project goals and timelines.
  • Technical Oversight: Provide hands-on technical support and oversight for engineering activities. Review designs, prototypes, and test results to ensure solutions meet performance, reliability, and regulatory requirements.
  • Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance productivity and quality. Identify risks early and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Resource Management: Ensure that the engineering team has the necessary resources, equipment, and training to succeed. Monitor team workloads and adjust resources as necessary to meet project goals.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Report progress, challenges, and opportunities to senior leadership. Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to ensure alignment with product and project goals.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure that engineering projects comply with all relevant aerospace industry standards, FAA regulations and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in aerospace engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of aerospace design principles, testing, and manufacturing processes.
  • Proven experience managing and delivering engineering projects on time and within budget.
  • Familiarity with STC Development.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and FAA regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) and simulation tools.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and team-building abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative, and entrepreneurial environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in aerospace
  • Knowledge of aircraft structures, systems engineering and integration.
  • Familiarity with regulatory certification processes and documentation.
