POSITION SUMMARY: The Engineering Manager plays a pivotal role as a leader within the Product Development team at Jupiter. In this position, the manager will oversee a portfolio of ongoing projects aimed at enhancing Endoportal Control™ enabled products. The role involves coordinating the diverse needs of user physicians, field team members, manufacturing, quality assurance, and product development to deliver world-class products. This position reports directly to the VP of Product Development.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and lead a team of product development and manufacturing engineers.
  • Collaborate with the field team, marketing, quality assurance, and manufacturing to define and resource product improvements.
  • Ensure team and project alignment to division goals.
  • Develop product development strategies.
  • Create and manage project requirements, constraints, budgets and schedules to meet key milestones and timelines.
  • Drive identifying critical paths, key risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure quality system and regulatory requirements are factored into all project planning and execution.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven track record as a manager of a team that developed and successfully launched medical devices.
  • Significant start-up experience or demonstrated ability to thrive in a driven, fast paced environment.
  • B.S. in engineering or scientific-related fields.
  • 7+ years of experience in medical device product development, including project and people management
  • Familiarity with FDA medical device regulations and quality systems.
  • Experience creating and managing schedules, budgets, financial forecasts, and plans.
  • A strong desire to work hard to succeed as an individual, as a leader, and as a key part of the company.


COMPENSATION: Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting base pay for this role is between $160,000-$187,000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for equity, benefits, and 401(k) with matching.
