We're a leading recruitment company in Sri Lanka looking for an Engineering Manager for a leading food manufacturing company based in Colombo. As our Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all engineering, maintenance, and capital project activities at our manufacturing facility. You will ensure all machinery, equipment, and infrastructure operate at peak efficiency, and you will drive continuous improvement initiatives to support operational excellence and compliance with food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop the engineering and maintenance teams.
• Plan, prioritize, and manage preventive and reactive maintenance activities.
• Oversee capital projects, including budgeting, planning, and execution.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and food safety regulations.
• Collaborate closely with production, quality, and supply chain teams to optimize plant performance.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement, introducing new technologies and process enhancements.
• Manage contractor relationships and service agreements.
• Prepare and manage departmental budgets, reporting on KPIs and performance.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) preferred.
• Proven experience (8+ years) in an engineering leadership role within food manufacturing or a similar regulated environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing systems, utilities, and automation.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, TPM, or Six Sigma methodologies is highly desirable.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities under tight deadlines.
