Role

The ideal candidate will be a leader and a quick learner. He/she should be able to operate in a very fast-paced environment where time to market is crucial. He/she will be the technology thought leader for the group making important tech decisions. He/she will need to balance technical leadership and savvy with strong product judgment to make the right decisions. In this role, you will:

• Manage the team of engineers to architects, and deliver an impactful product with the best technical design.
• Insists best practices for software development and documentation, assure designs meet requirements, and deliver high-quality work on tight schedules.
• Manage departmental resources, staffing, and mentoring and enhance and maintain a best-in-class engineering team.
• Prepare technical requirements and design specifications from the functional requirements.
• Proactively report on the progress of development, quality, operations, and system performance to stakeholders.
  

Eligibility

• 8+ years of experience in building, managing, and mentoring large-scale agile teams (preferably SaaS applications) as an Engineering Manager, specific to large-scale Web Applications.
• Solid track record for consistent delivery of high-quality products.
• Strong project management skills, ability to track multiple executions simultaneously without missing deadlines.
• Extensive experience in developing solutions using JavaScript/C#/Java/Ruby/Python and RDMS.
• Experience in designing RESTful or GraphQL APIs.
• Knowledge of coding standards, SOLID principles, and industry best practices.
• Experience with version control tools (Github/GitLab/Bitbucket).
• Knowledge of CI/CD and other DevOps practices is an added advantage.
• Experience in coordinating with cross-platform teams (Web, API, and Mobile Apps) is an added advantage.
