Your Role at KIK
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Intern to join our manufacturing team in the Atlanta, GA area for the summer. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while contributing to real-world production and process improvement projects. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, possesses a strong technical foundation, and thrives in a collaborative setting focused on efficiency and quality improvement.
What You'll Be Doing
* Assist in analyzing and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
* Support the design, development, and testing of production equipment and workflow improvements.
* Contribute to the development and execution of various Capital Investment projects across the organization.
* Perform data analysis, research, and documentation related to production metrics.
* Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and operators to troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing challenges.
* Assist in implementing Lean Manufacturing principles.
* Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards in all manufacturing tasks.
* Participate in team meetings and contribute innovative ideas for process improvements.
What You'll Bring
* Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing or Chemical Engineering or related field, with at least four semesters of coursework completed.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
* Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes, engineering principles, and production systems
* Ability to travel domestically within the U.S. as needed for project support, site visits, and team collaboration.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD, Solidworks, a plus but not required.
* Prior internship or project experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus but not required.
