Director of Engineering

Nexxt Spine LLC, a leader in the medical device industry, is seeking a Director of Engineering (or Manager depending on background and level of experience). We design, manufacture, and distribute an expanding portfolio of cutting-edge implants and instruments, and we are committed to fostering a culture of innovation, excellence, and employee engagement.

SUMMARY: Hands on role responsible for leading a team of talented design engineers to develop a wide variety of medical device projects while facilitating the improvement of manufacturing. This is a key role in our management team for product design, cross collaboration and strategy development.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leads and coordinates various engineering functions and operations including testing, production, and research and development of new and existing product lines.

Leads the coordination of multiple projects, creating timelines, organizing collaborative meetings, and ensuring projects comply with specifications, and timelines.

Provides strategic direction and leadership for engineering team on achieving individual, department, and organizational goals.

Oversees project logistics and resource allocation.

Reviews work and projects for technical accuracy.

Establishes, implements, and maintains administrative policies, procedures, and standards.

Monitors projects and maintains a close liaison with Quality, Marketing, and Manufacturing personnel to implement approved development and improvement projects.

Complies with all applicable cGMP, ISO, OSHA, FDA regulations.

Supports continuous improvement activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Displays a high level of initiative and demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with clear expectations.

Strong business acumen and industry knowledge.

Must be self-motivated and possess the ability to work in high-pressure situations.

Must have excellent presentation and verbal/written communication skills.

Strong interpersonal skills required to lead a team and work cross-functionally across the company.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

Director Level:

Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering.

7 plus years of experience with a minimum of 5 years of management leading engineering teams

Medical Device Manufacturing Experience (spinal Products Highly Preferred)

Manager Level:

Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering.

5 years + with 3 years of management experience
