LightBox Employer, LLC has an opening out of Shelton, Connecticut for a Senior Software Engineer.

Job Duties

  • Work with an agile team to deliver software solutions and services for data platform to support delivery of the Petitioner's large-scale data solutions and products.
  • Engage with cross organizational teams collaborating on Data Ingestion Services and Data Engineering to develop consistent series of services and solutions for existing and new Data Products.
  • Work on complex processing of spatial and relational data sets, to construct multiple software product offerings in consistent pattern and path. Investigate and resolve technical and non-technical issues, resolving critical incidents in timely manner and with a through root cause analysis.
  • Adhere to best practices around software/source code versioning, automated testing, and dependency management.
  • Contribute to Petitioner's overall technology strategy and roadmap as an active member of its architectural leadership team.
  • 100% remote; may work from home.

Qualifications

  • Must possess at least a bachelor's degree or its equivalent in Computer Science or a related field and at least 5 years of progressive experience as a Software Engineer or in a related role.
  • In the alternative, may possess at least a master's degree or its equivalent in Computer Science or a related field and at least 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer or in a related role.
  • At least 3 years of experience with AWS services, including CloudFront, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, EC2, Lambda, S3, SQS, SNS, Athena, Glue, and Step Functions
  • At least 3 years of Object Oriented Programming in languages such as Java, Scala, or Python
  • At least 3 years of experience in designing, developing, and optimizing largescale services capable of handling millions of transactions per second, with a focus on high-performance and scalability
  • At least 3 years of experience building, deploying, and maintaining APIs, microservices, and system components using Java, RDBMS, and NoSQL databases
  • At least 3 years of Data Engineering and crafting analytics tools, including extracting insights from large data sets in a Data Lake environment and Tableau or PowerBI.

The salary for this position is at least $165,568 per year.
