Summary

Location: Remote but MUST SIT IN one of the following states: PA, NJ, VA, MD, DE or the District of Columbia

Compensation: $100,000 - 125,000 + 65% Bonus - Total Comp: $143,000-$190,000+


Day-to-Day:

A client of Insight Global's is looking for an Engineering Business Manager to join their Market Development team within the Civil Infrastructure Division. This individual must live in PA, NJ, VA, MD, DE or the District of Columbia as they will spearhead these markets in business development, marketing, sales, profitability, and overall product development for geotextiles and erosion control products. Overall, this individual will be the "face" to engineers, regulatory agencies, distribution customers, the contracting community, and the transportation industry as whole. This individual will work remotely but will be traveling up to a max of 50% travel. A typical day could entail doing promotions for the company, driving business by meeting engineers, conducting lunch presentations, and creating business plans for key influencers.

Travel

  • Up to 50% domestic travel
  • Traveling for: conferences, seminars, visiting customers, or potentially some engineering shows
  • All reimbursed - flights, hotels, meals, etc.
  • Weekly presentations
  • General lunches w/clients & engineering calls
  • Will be the "go-to" expert for engineering community for geosynthetics
  • Will have existing business but drive more business - create an engineering business plan for region to determine where they need to spend time in terms of promotional terms


Must Haves:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Construction Mgt, or related
  • 4 - 8 + years of experience within engineering pertaining to design, specification's, bidding, and technical reports
  • Exposure within sales, marketing, or business development within an engineering capacity (or eagerness to dive into this)
  • Ability for 30-50% domestic travel


Plusses:

  • Experience with hydraulics, water, stormwater, drainage, etc.
  • Consulting Sales experience in related industry
  • EIT or PE License
  • CPESC, CPSWQ, or any other engineering certifications
  • Experience with local DOTs
