Job Title: Engineering Assistant

Department: Technical Product Marketing

Job Summary:

The Engineering Assistant supports internal customers with creating, verifying, and updating Unigen PLM documentation. This position reports to the Senior Director of Hardware Engineering and is located in Newark, CA.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Support internal customers with creating, verifying, and updating Unigen PLM documentation
  • Compile, analyze OEM BOM contents as requested by Marketing and Engineering groups
  • Process and release PLM BOMs through ECN/PCN process
  • Cross-check BOMs and schematics documentation for accuracy and conformity; address and fix any discrepancies
  • Create and maintain top level product numbers (PN) data sheets for various products (DDR, SSD) as requested by Sales
  • Create assembly instructions as requested by Manufacturing Engineering
  • Maintain the Schematic and PCB layout symbol central library for the Design Engineering team
  • Select suitable DRAM/NAND parts for BOM changes based on customer requirements and specifications

Required Education and Experience:

  1. Associates/ bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
  2. 1-2 years’ experience with Oracle PLM, Microsoft Office, Acrobat, and Illustrator software
  3. Proficient or have basic knowledge of DDR3/4/5, SATA SSD, NVMe SSD technology

Salary Range: 70K - 80K / Annum
