Summary/Objective

Engineering Assistant at E3A Healthcare

The Engineering Assistant at E3A Healthcare will provide vital support to the R&D team in developing and refining cutting-edge, AI-powered medical devices focused on women's health. This role involves assisting engineers with research, design, testing, prototyping, and documentation of innovative products like Modoo, Bilimonitor, and Nora. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, passionate about women's health, and possesses a strong understanding of biomedical engineering principles and practices.

Collaboration with YSIP2025 and Government Support

This position is part of the YSIP2025 initiative, a strategic collaboration aimed at advancing women's health technologies through interdisciplinary efforts。The role is also supported by subsidies provided by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR)，which aims to foster innovation and enhance the development of AI-powered medical devices。As part of this initiative, the Engineering Assistant will have the opportunity to engage with leading experts, contribute to groundbreaking projects, and participate in cutting-edge research and development activities.

Essential Functions

• Assist engineers in the design, development, and testing of new medical devices, including the Nora endometriosis treatment device, Modoo fetal monitor, and Bilimonitor jaundice meter.
• Conduct research and gather data on relevant technologies, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including technical drawings, specifications, test reports, and user manuals.
• Assemble and test prototypes, collect data, and analyze results.
• Assist in the development and implementation of testing protocols and quality control procedures.
• Support the preparation of regulatory submissions (e.g., FDA 510(k)).
• Collaborate with other departments, including Product, Marketing, and Business Development, as needed.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in biomedical engineering and medical device technology.
