Engineer- Test Automation in Reston, VA Roles & Responsibilities * Test Planning and Coordination: o Develop detailed test plans and test cases based on project requirements. o Coordinate with project managers, developers, and business analysts to understand the scope and requirements. o Schedule and manage testing activities to align with project timelines. * Test Execution: o Lead the execution of test cases, both manual and automated. o Ensure comprehensive test coverage for all functional and non-functional requirements. o Monitor and report on test progress, including test execution status, defect status, and test metrics. * Team Leadership: o Mentor and guide test engineers, providing technical support and training as needed. o Assign tasks to team members and ensure timely completion of testing activities. o Conduct regular team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and solutions. * Defect Management: o Identify, document, and track defects using an issue tracking system (e.g., Jira). o Work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution of defects. o Perform root cause analysis for critical defects and implement corrective actions.
