Job Description: We are looking for a Senior Silicon Validation Automation and tools development engineer with 5+ years of experience who will be responsible for ensuring that we deliver high-quality silicon platform to customers. As part of this role, you will write an extensive python automation and tools framework that measures and validates the power, perf, thermal, electrical, logical and bare metal functionality of a silicon. You will work in the lab environment with lot of interactions with cross-functional teams such as Silicon, Boards, Software and competitive. Responsibilities: * Understand the SOC Silicon validation at system and block level * Collaboration with cross-functional teams, provide & receive input on tools and automation requirements and design * Develop, integrate and maintain Automation and tools frameworks used for Silicon validation * Operate and Integrate various lab hardware equipment into Tools and automation environment * Follow software quality, coding principles, workflow and participate in the code reviews * Be an active member of an agile team, collaboratively realizing features through development, test and delivery * Participate in install, build and deployment activities * Work independently using the directions from the project lead * Continuous communication which includes the comprehension of information with colleagues, customers, and vendors both in person and remotely. Required Experience: * Bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field * 5+ years of hands-on experience in automation and tools development using Python and C++/ C * Experience with make, cmake, build systems, shell scripting and git * Good knowledge of CPU/PC hardware and software (BIOS, FW, Kernel and HLOS) architecture * Strong experience with system level validation and automation on embedded processors and peripherals such as SPI, I2C, USB, ethernet, PCIe etc. * Hands on experience in the usage of advanced lab equipment like Protocol analyzers, Logic analyzer, Oscilloscope, DMM, Kratos/DAQ and programmable power supplies * Knowledge and experience in JTAG debugging and extraction of HW perf counters, memory dump, crash dumps * Understanding and experience with CPU power and performance methodologies, thermal, voltage and frequencies impact on SoC, Silicon characterization etc. * Board bring-up and testing experience * Experience working in a cross functional and cross site team environment Nice to have: * Knowledge and experience in pre-silicon validation platforms (i.e. FPGA and emulation) * Development & deployment experience with: Web frameworks using Python, node.js, Database systems, Jenkins * Understanding and working experience in devops such as Jenkins, Kubernetes, docker and CI/CD flow Experience with dashboards, data analytics and machine learning frameworks Comments for Suppliers:
