Engineer- Production Machine Operator/Programmer

Ingersoll Cutting Tools Company is proud to be part of the IMC Group of Companies with 140 subsidiaries in 65 countries. Our US operations are housed on our state-of-the-art manufacturing and marketing campus in Rockford, Illinois. We are currently accepting applications for an Engineer- Production Machine Operator/Programmer.

Essential job duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Work closely with overseas partner to maintain and update process drawings.
  • Create cutting tool profiles via CAD to be used to program wire erosion machine.
  • Check in process and final quality via Zoller inspection.
  • Work closely with team members to streamline processes and maintain highest quality levels.


Skills/Qualifications:

  • Strong background in AutoCAD.
  • Basic geometry/trigonometry skills.
  • CNC programming background a plus.
  • Any metal removal type manufacturing experience a plus.
  • Good communication skills
  • Willing to work in a team environment.


An ideal candidate for this position would ideally come from a recognized Technical Institution. This background ensures they possess a strong foundation in the relevant technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and hands-on experience necessary to excel in the role. Graduates from technical institutions are well-equipped with the practical knowledge and technical expertise that can be directly applied to the job, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in tackling industry-specific challenges.

This is an on-site, full-time position that may require intermittent overtime based on workflow demands (including potential for long shifts and/or weekend work).

Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to work well independently, as well as with others, in a team environment. Candidates should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, possess a good work ethic, demonstrate reliable and punctual work habits, demonstrate safety consciousness, and always conduct themselves in a professional manner.

The salary range is $24-25/hr.
