Primary purpose:
The primary responsibility of this individual will be to provide process design and process engineering support for the Company's decarbonization initiatives. The successful candidate will evaluate hydrogen and/or ammonia production technologies, lead/review FEED studies, and assist senior engineers as a process engineer for various decarbonization projects. The individual may also provide engineering recommendations for the transportation of hydrogen, ammonia, CO2 and other products related to decarbonization. The individual must possess the ability to associate and communicate with a wide variety of people with tact, courtesy, and professionalism.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
* Performs engineering design and coordinates installation of new equipment and processes in the decarbonization initiatives.
* Works with EPC and engineering firms to review and provide input on process designs
* Works with Business Development and Projects to provide cost/benefit analysis of technical options and provide technical expertise in the evaluation of hydrogen and/or ammonia production technologies
* Provide technical expertise in the pipeline transportation of hydrogen, ammonia, CO2, and other decarbonization related products.
* Assists in development of work scope and execution of FEED studies. Provide recommendations based on outcome of FEED studies.
* Serve as process engineer on a variety of decarbonization projects.
* Development of Company standards associated with hydrogen and ammonia production and transportation.
* Development of Company standards associated with CO2 transportation and sequestering.
* Provides technical support to assist in developing and maintaining a Process Safety Management (PSM) program for decarbonization facilities
* Provides training to plant operations personnel on environmental impact, safety implications of processes & chemicals, maintaining process reliability, and proper operating practices and procedures to contribute to optimum plant performance and safe operation.
* Understands the process design or operations of plant processes for a variety of applications such as reforming, hydrogen, ammonia, methanol, or GTL.
* Effectively prioritize workload between several projects.
* Plan, schedule, manage, and report on projects with various deadlines.
* Assist with the development of project scope documents, schedules, costs estimate, and budget forecasts as assigned.

* Assist with the development and facilitation of Job Safety Analyses.
* Write effectively and understand verbal and written communications.

Minimum requirements:
Education:
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
Experience/Specific Knowledge:
* A minimum of 10 yrs of service as a process, principal or design engineer with some experience in hydrogen, electrolysis, syngas, ammonia, methanol or GTL.
* Proficiency with MS Office applications that may include but are not limited to Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, MS Project, and Outlook.
* Knowledge of how to develop process simulation models & process optimization using commercial software (e.g. HYSYS)
Certifications, Licenses & Registrations:
* Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers (for travel).

Working Conditions:
* This is a full-time position.
* Essentially indoors but must be able to work outdoors in project & maintenance activities.
* Travel from 10-20% of time to engineering offices, field sites and company offices with occasional overnight stays.
* May be required to carry a cell phone and be available to respond during working and non-working hours.
* The successful candidate will be required to clear a drug screen and a complete background check, including credit report for certain positions, after an offer has been extended and prior to being employed.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Above the minimum requirements; not required but advantageous in this position:
* Experience with designing H2 production facilities via Electrolysis.
* Experience in the design or production of ASU, or Cogeneration facilities.
* Experience in Process Design or development of engineering standards
* Experience in the transportation of hydrogen, ammonia, and CO2.
* Strong computer background.
* Knowledge of industry's regulatory compliance issues and standards.
