Position: Engineer (Microsoft Purview)

Location: Deerfield Beach, FL (HYBRID)

Summary:

• Seeking an experienced MS Purview Engineer with a strong background in implementing, configuring, and managing MS Purview solutions to ensure Data Governance, Compliance, and Security
• Must have familiarity with MS Purview/Apache Atlas API coding and hands-on experience with Python
• Experience in Financial Services or Automotive industries is a plus
• This position is Hybrid, working onsite 2-3 days per week during Eastern Standard Time (EST) hours; an exceptional candidate may be considered for Fully Remote work

Responsibilities:

• Build and manage MS Purview governance capability platform, data assets, and integrations with data sources
• Assist in migration from Azure Purview Classic to MS Purview (SaaS), including data product mapping and existing Python tool migration
• Formulate, suggest, and implement new ideas/features/delivery methods for metadata infrastructure, focused on cloud technologies and business applications
• Develop and maintain custom object definitions to enhance the metadata capabilities of MS Purview
• Work with Data Governance Leads, Product Owners, and MS Purview Platform Owners to help in backlog management and delivery cycles for the Data Governance ecosystem improvements
• Interact with the business representatives through the Data Governance Council and Data Product Owners
• Liaise with Information Security as necessary

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of IT experience, including a focus on Data Governance
• Must have familiarity with MS Purview/Apache Atlas API coding and hands-on experience with Python
• Experience with using Agile Methodologies on projects
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Experience in Financial Services or Automotive industries is a plus
