Primary Objective
Job Description of Instrumentation Engineer
The person defined shall provide the technical support within the Project Team for the field of instrumentation and Control system.
The Tasks of the Instrumentation Engineer within a Project Team include
- Job-specific clarification of technical requirements and data for the applicable instruments (e.g., Control valve, Solenoid valves, Limit Switches, Instruments for the pressure, Temperature, level, and flow measurement, etc.…)
- Preparation of technical documents for the procurement process and technical contact towards sub vendors for instrumentation.
- Issue of the corresponding plant listings and documentation for the instrumentation.
Specific activities
- Clarification of technical questions regarding instrumentation.
- Verification of job-specific technical specifications.
- Issue of data sheets for specification of instrumentation (e.g. Control valve, Solenoid valves, Limit Switches, Instruments for the pressure, Temperature, level and flow measurement, etc.…)
- Technical clarification and realization of changes
- Issue of technical documentation for the instruments and verification of sub vendor documents
- Data input and management within the engineering IT-Systems (database system COMOS)
Essential Skills / Experience
- Technical studies with minimum Bachelor of Engineering in E&I or educated technician relevant professional experience (Year) Minimum 2 Maximum 5.
- Basic knowledge of instrumentation technologies and electrical engineering
- Experiences in the field automation and /or control systems design helpful
- Experience in order handling within the plant engineering industry, especially for the processing industry helpful
- Interested in application of IT-Systems / database-systems
- Software skills with DCS/PLC programming
- Good English skills in reading
