Summary

Job Location: Project Site (PAN India)

Experience: 2-4 Years

Education: B.Tech in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related field in Solar

Industry: Renewable Energy / Solar Power

Key Responsibilities:1. Site Supervision & Execution:
  • Oversee and manage the installation of solar PV power plants, including mounting structures, panels, inverters, transformers, and cabling.
  • Ensure all site activities align with approved designs, project timelines, and safety guidelines.
  • Supervise contractors and field technicians for proper execution of work.
  • Verify material deliveries, inventory management, and proper storage at the site.
2. Quality Control & Compliance:
  • Conduct inspections and quality checks on all components and installation procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with IEC, MNRE, CEIG, DISCOM, and other regulatory guidelines.
  • Monitor and maintain proper documentation, including checklists, test reports, and material inspection records.
3. Testing & Commissioning:
  • Perform pre-commissioning and commissioning tests for solar PV plants, including power output verification and grid synchronization.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to electrical and mechanical components.
4. Reporting & Coordination:
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, including site activity updates and project milestones.
  • Coordinate with project managers, design engineers, and procurement teams to ensure smooth execution.
  • Maintain proper communication with stakeholders, including vendors, clients, and local authorities.
5. Operation & Maintenance (O&M) Support:
  • Support O&M teams in fault diagnosis and preventive maintenance activities.
  • Monitor plant performance, energy generation, and identify areas for efficiency improvement.
Skills & Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of solar PV system design, installation, and commissioning.
  • Experience with mechanical structures, module mounting, cable routing, and inverter installation.
  • Proficiency in handling site-related tools, electrical testing equipment, and monitoring software.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, PVsyst, MS Office, and project management tools is an advantage.
  • Good problem-solving, leadership, and team management skills.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and compliance standards.
  • Willingness to travel and work at remote project sites across India.
