About The Role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Data Engineer to join our team. As a Engineer (Data), you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our data platform infrastructure and processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the availability, scalability, and reliability of our data systems.

  

As an Engineer (Data), you will assist with the overall outcomes of the Platform Engineering team while being exposed to a range of technologies and practices responsibilities include: 

• Develop, optimise, and maintain robust ELT/ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory, dbt Cloud, and Snowflake
• Write complex and efficient SQL queries across platforms including SQL Server and Oracle, ensuring performance and data accuracy
• Design and implement scalable data warehousing solutions that prioritise reusability, modularity, and re-run-ability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyse and solve complex data issues within a highly regulated environment
• Conduct comprehensive data profiling, implement test automation, and ensure high standards of documentation
• Contribute to the design and implementation of data models and support both relational and NoSQL storage systems
• Apply best practices from Agile, DevOps/DataOps, and Platform Engineering to ensure robust and secure data pipelines
• Monitor and enhance observability metrics such as data accuracy, availability, reliability, and quality
• Establish and track key performance metrics to measure and improve solution outcomes
  
  

About you:  

• Proven experience with Snowflake, Azure Data Factory, dbt Cloud, and Azure Cloud computing
• Strong background in SQL, with the ability to write and optimise complex queries across multiple platforms
• Practical knowledge of data warehousing, data modelling, and ELT/ETL pipelines
• Exposure to observability frameworks and quality assurance for data products
• Familiarity with platform engineering practices and working within modern software development environments
