Job Information Click Enter to preview the description of Job InformationPreviewThe Cell Stack Engineer is responsible for development of electrolyzer cell stacks and components. They will analyze test data, develop simple electrochemical models, and support verification and validation plans for new product introduction and cost reduction initiatives. Lab support includes troubleshooting, diagnostics, repairs, vendor services, workflow priority, and control of Standard Work and material test methods databases. Projects may focus on fundamental research, process and component development. Such projects require experience and knowledge of a variety of lab equipment including SEM, ICP, mechanical and thermal analysis. May build cells for testing in the lab scale and prototype test stands and will perform root cause investigations. Has solid understanding of the cell stack discipline fundamentals and manufacturing processes. Role & Responsibility * With moderate guidance, perform designated tasks involving the planning and implementation components of research programs related to development and application of state-of-the-art cell stack technologies for customer products, processes and development programs * Collaborate with Manufacturing and others to coordinate implementation of new processes and support transition plans to effectively bridge between process revisions * Ensure cell stack programs and projects results have been validated and thoroughly documented prior to production release * May be asked to support the development of suppliers to help them meet technical, cost, and delivery goals * Keep abreast of all external process concepts and technology developments as a focus on self-development and to help the team maintain a leading edge in cell stack technology * Provide help to others, and work across organizational boundaries * Mentor newer and less knowledgeable employees in the higher technologies of the field * Encourage and build mutual trust, respect and cooperation among team members and beyond Job Requirement - Education & Experience * BA/BS degree with 2+ years of experience * MA/MS degree with 0+ years of experience * Chemical Engineering or other related degree * Experience executing customer requirements * Experience working with a diverse group of technical and business-focused individuals, occasionally on a global basis * Experience working in a manufacturing or laboratory environment Job Requirement - Knowledge & Skill * Sound knowledge of electrolyzer or fuel cell stack technologies * Excellent, demonstrable organizational and communications skills * Hands on & laboratory skills * Structured problem-solving skills * Solid data analysis skills * Strong focus on teamwork and employee development Other This position requires on-site work.
