Job Summary
NetApp has roughly 19k Windows and 5k Mac end-user endpoints under management, supported across 60 sites and 22 countries around the world. NetApp is an engineering company, and a large percentage of the employee population researches, designs, and builds software and systems. This position has primary responsibility for the hardening and hygiene of end user Windows & MacOS laptops, including audit/review/removal of user installed applications, hardening and hygiene, overall management of approved/denied applications and application versions. This is an engineering role – not an operations role. While operation of the platform falls under this role, its operation occurs largely through code and automation.
Job Requirements
Must Have
- Experience implementing OS hardening for Windows and Mac operating systems per NIST 800-171 or similar requirements.
- In-depth knowledge of endpoint management and security best practices including experience remediating vulnerabilities and completing compliance checks using tools such as ThreatLocker, Rapid7, JAMF, InTune or equivalent.
- Some development / scripting experience (e.g. Powershell, Python, etc) as well as automation skills (tool agnostic).
- Deep understanding of either the Windows or Mac OS and understanding of the other.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
You Might Also Have
- A degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field
- Familiarity with PowerBI, SQL, or other reporting tools
- Experience with Microsoft cloud technologies such as Azure AD, Azure Information Protection, Cloud App Security and Defender ATP
- Experience in cyber security and red team/blue team activities
Education
Preferred atleast 5 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
