Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for defining the long-term vision, strategy, and execution roadmap for applying generative AI and other emerging technologies to transform business challenges into opportunities across our portfolio of products and services.

We are looking for a strategic leader with deep expertise in AI, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and the ability to drive AI adoption at scale. You will be expected to demonstrate strong understanding of the business context and the customer needs, and to align the technology solutions with the strategic objectives and priorities of the organization. You will work closely with senior business stakeholders, IT partners, and external vendors to deliver innovative solutions that meet the needs of our customers and markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define the long-term vision, strategy, and execution roadmap for applying generative AI and other innovative technologies to create value and impact for our patients and employees across our portfolio of products and services.
  • Will work closely with senior business stakeholders, IT partners, and external vendors to deliver innovative solutions that meet the needs of our customers and markets.
  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of the generative AI and technology innovation projects, from ideation and scoping, to development and testing, to deployment and scaling, to evaluation and optimization.
  • Ensure the quality, reliability, and security of the generative AI and technology solutions, and comply with the relevant standards, policies, and regulations.
  • Measure and communicate the value and impact of the generative AI and technology solutions, using quantitative and qualitative metrics and indicators, and report on the progress and outcomes of the projects to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Keep abreast of the latest trends and developments in generative AI and other emerging technologies, and identify and evaluate new opportunities and challenges for applying them to our business domains and use cases.

Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

  • A minimum of a Masters degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, with a focus on AI, machine learning, or data science.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in data science, AI or technology innovation projects or teams, preferably in the health care or life sciences industry.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in generative AI and other emerging technologies, such as natural language processing, computer vision, deep learning, or reinforcement learning.
  • Knowledge of low/no-code tools and automation e.g. Dataiku, Power Automate, etc. a plus
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts and solutions to non-technical audiences and to influence senior stakeholders and decision makers.
  • Strong strategic and analytical thinking skills, with the ability to align technology solutions with business goals and customer needs, and to measure and communicate the value and impact of the solutions.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional and vendor teams to a common goal with proven experience in delivering business impact.
  • Excellent collaboration and partnership skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional and cross-regional teams, IT partners, and external vendors.
  • Strong project management experience, with a track record of successfully delivering large-scale initiatives.
  • Strong experience in change management for implementation of new solutions with cross-functional teams and cross-regional teams.
  • Strong innovation and learning mindset, with the ability to explore new technologies and approaches, experiment and iterate, and learn from failures and successes.
  • Strong ethical and professional standards, with the ability to comply with the data privacy and security policies and regulations.

Location: the role is expected to be located in the current country of residence, with local hosting available at a J&J IM office. Please note that we do not offer relocation for this position.
