Embedded Systems Engineer | Autonomous Vehicle Systems

Real-Time Embedded | FPGA + Firmware

Our client, an innovative company at the forefront of autonomous vehicle technologies, is looking for an experienced Embedded Systems Engineer to join their growing engineering team.

This position offers the chance to work on high-impact embedded platforms where latency, reliability, and real-time performance are crucial. If you have strong skills across both firmware and FPGA development, and a passion for system-level problem solving, this is the role for you.

Key Responsibilities

• Design FPGA logic to manage sensor data, high-speed I/O, and control pipelines
• Develop and optimize embedded firmware in C/C++ for platforms such as Xilinx Zynq or NVIDIA Jetson + FPGA
• Fine-tune low-level interconnects (AXI, DMA, shared memory) between programmable logic and CPUs
• Implement diagnostics, fault-tolerant bootloaders, and safety watchdogs
• Integrate with real-time Linux and autonomy middleware such as ROS 2

Core Skills Required

• Solid experience in HDL (VHDL/Verilog) and embedded C/C++
• Background in real-time, safety-critical embedded systems
• Familiarity with AUTOSAR, ISO 26262, or similar safety standards
• Experience with board bring-up and use of tools like oscilloscopes, JTAG, and emulators

Nice to Have

• Integration experience with ROS/ROS2
• Python for scripting and test automation
• CI/CD and version control practices for embedded and FPGA development
