Our client, a cutting-edge aerospace company developing the next generation of high-speed defense and commercial platforms, is looking for a Flight Firmware Lead to own and drive low-level software development across mission-critical systems.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role focused on embedded firmware, ideal for someone who thrives in real-time environments and wants to shape high-performance aerospace technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead development of real-time embedded firmware for flight control and avionics systems
• Work closely with hardware, guidance, and systems engineers to define and deliver integrated solutions
• Own firmware design, implementation, and bring-up across key subsystems
• Mentor junior engineers and help shape best practices in low-level software development
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar
• 5+ years of experience in embedded firmware development (C/C++)
• Strong background in hardware/software integration and real-time operating systems (RTOS)
• Experience with low-level drivers, board bring-up, and communication protocols (e.g., SPI, I2C, UART)
• Aerospace or safety-critical system experience is a strong plus
