A well-established, internationally active technology company based in Switzerland is seeking to strengthen its development team with a Software Engineer specializing in C++ and Linux. The company develops and manufactures electronic products and systems for a broad range of sectors, including industrial automation and medical technology.

Your Responsibilities

In this multifaceted role, you'll be part of a dedicated development team, contributing your expertise in C++ and Linux across various internal and customer-driven projects within the embedded and industrial systems space.

Key tasks include:

• Software development for embedded Linux systems
• Integration and customization of core Linux components (e.g., drivers, security patches, cloud clients)
• Development of tailored Yocto Linux distributions adapted to specific hardware setups
• Execution of automated and manual testing, as well as enhancement of test infrastructure
• Maintenance and expansion of CI/CD pipelines
• Collaboration with hardware teams, project managers, and occasionally external partners or customers

Your Profile

• Degree (university, university of applied sciences or technical college) in computer science, electrical engineering, or systems engineering
• Several years of hands-on experience with embedded Linux development, ideally including Yocto
• Strong background in C++ software development for Linux-based embedded systems
• Bonus skills include:
• Knowledge of embedded security concepts
• Familiarity with open-source software practices
• Experience with frameworks like Qt, Flutter, etc.
• Understanding of electronics and communication interfaces
