Our client, a leader in the automotive industry is looking to bring on an Email Developer/Designer for a 12 month contract!

Location: Hybrid - Camden, NJ (3 days/onsite)

Pay Range: $35-40/hr.

Duration: 12 months (Potential for conversion/extension)

Hours: 37.5/week

Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

• Design compelling, user-centered emails following email marketing and UX best practices.
• Develop responsive email templates using HTML/CSS and ensure accessibility compliance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and vendors to source content and visual assets (images, video); revise or create copy as needed.
• Create, correct, and optimize images for web/email; develop animated graphics as necessary.
• Ensure email content is on-brand, engaging, and aligned with campaign goals while delivering value to the customer.
• Share email template proofs with stakeholders and implement feedback effectively.
• Conduct quality assurance checks to verify content accuracy and cross-browser rendering.
• Set up campaigns for deployment using pre-set workflows and designated audience segments.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in an email developer role.
• Expert-level proficiency in HTML and CSS.
• Deep knowledge of email-specific code standards, especially responsive/mobile design.
• Proficient in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Experience with email testing tools such as Litmus, Email on Acid, or similar.
• Strong understanding of UI/UX principles specific to email.
• Skilled in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate stakeholder needs into effective design strategies.
• Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, or a related field (Marketing or Communications acceptable).

Preferred Additional Experience:

• Familiarity with Adobe Experience Manager or similar email template builders.
• Experience using Adobe Campaign or other email campaign platforms.
