LINCOLN PARK PUBLIC SCHOOLS 1650 Champaign Lincoln Park, Michigan 48146 ANNOUNCEMENT OF VACANCY 2025 -2026 School Year POSITION: ELL Coordinator QUALIFICATIONS: * Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with ESL endorsement (NS) * Valid Michigan School Administrator Certificate * Ability to use Google documents and sheets to create and organize materials * Demonstrated knowledge of Michigan Department of Education ESL Requirements, including Section 41, Title III, WIDA Assessments, and English Language Development Plans * Successful experience working with Multilingual learners, administration of WIDA assessments, developing/implementing English Language Development Plans, and providing professional development to building leaders and teachers. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education and/or Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable DUTIES: * Implement the ELL Program Requirements as set forth by the Michigan Department of Education * Develop professional development for staff to meet the needs of Multilingual Learners throughout the district * Oversee implementation of MDE EL Program Evaluation * Review and Implement Title III and Section 41 applications and programs with the Executive Director of School Improvement and Director of State and Federal Programming * Attend required MDE Meetings for EL Program Administrators * Collaborate with EL Coaches and Facilitators throughout the district to ensure adequate programming and services for students * Co-Coordinate Parent Involvement Events with district EL Staff * Review and implement the district's ELL Program Handbook * Meet regularly with district EL Staff * Advise building principals on programs and scheduling needs within each building * Coordinate required testing, including WIDA and Seal of Biliteracy Exams * Collaborate with EL Staff to evaluate and select program materials to support Multilingual Learners.
