Job Title: Elite Programs Director

Location: Remote with travel as needed

Reports to: National General Manager

Position Type: Full-Time



Position Summary:

AYSO United is seeking an experienced and driven Elite Programs Director to oversee and elevate our top-tier teams competing in the Elite Academy 2 (EA2), Development Player League (DPL), and The National League (E64). This individual will be responsible for managing all aspects of these elite teams—on and off the field—including coach oversight, league communication, scheduling, training delivery, and overall program development. The role is pivotal in ensuring our teams not only meet league expectations but thrive within these highly competitive environments.



Key Responsibilities:


Coach & Team Oversight

  • Manage and support all coaches working within EA2, DPL, and NPL platforms
  • Ensure coaching aligns with AYSO United’s philosophy and developmental methodology
  • Observe games and training sessions; provide feedback, mentorship, and development plans for coaches
  • Lead and run high-level training sessions as needed for elite teams, including supplemental sessions and team support during critical phases of the season


League Management & Communication

  • Serve as the primary liaison with EA2, DPL, and NPL league officials
  • Maintain clear and timely communication with leagues, ensuring compliance with all requirements and deadlines
  • Represent AYSO United in league meetings, events, and competitive discussions


Team Placement & Program Development

  • Collaborate with Directors of Coaching and technical staff to identify and place the right teams in appropriate elite platforms
  • Facilitate player evaluations and team selections in coordination with club tryouts and scouting efforts
  • Strategically build competitive, pathway-driven programming within each league platform


Scheduling & Operations

  • Source and secure training and game-day field space
  • Manage full-season calendars for EA2, DPL, and NPL teams—including league games, showcases, and travel
  • Coordinate with team administrators and coaches to ensure smooth execution of all logistics


Player Development & Pathways

  • Work closely with the National Technical Director to integrate high-performance training programs
  • Support college recruitment efforts and provide guidance and opportunities for player advancement
  • Help identify and promote players for national showcases, ID events, and other elite opportunities



Qualifications:

  • USSF B License required; A License preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience coaching or managing elite-level youth soccer teams
  • Proven track record of player and team development within national or regional league systems
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple teams, events, and personnel across geographic locations
  • Willingness and availability to travel regularly for games, events, and meetings
  • Deep understanding of youth soccer structures and player development pathways
