An Elevator Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing elevators, escalators, and other vertical transportation equipment. They ensure that the equipment is in safe and working order, adhering to strict regulations and guidelines. Key Responsibilities Install new elevators and escalators, including electrical work, wiring, and programming of control systems Maintain and repair elevators, escalators, dumbwaiters, and other vertical transportation equipment Perform routine maintenance, such as oiling and cleaning mechanical parts, and inspecting safety devices Respond to emergency calls and make repairs quickly and efficiently Update and maintain records of repairs and maintenance performed Conduct safety audits and ensure that all equipment meets safety standards and regulations Stay current with advancements in elevator technology and industry regulations Requirements High school diploma or equivalent 1 year experience in elevator installation, maintenance, or repair Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Strong communication skills and ability to work well with others Job Type: Full-time
