What are the primary responsibilities in the Electronics Test Engineer position? Core responsibilities include ownership of the electronics test process both internally and at key suppliers. Individual will have ownership to lead continuous improvement initiatives to ensure quality, reliability and efficiency are implemented. This is vital to successfully meeting the increased demand for our products for commercial, defense and space applications. Responsibilities will also include: * Lead product testing strategist to include design, maintenance and execution of modular and semi-automated test platforms. * Develop, maintain, and execute test plans, procedures and product workflows. * Troubleshoot failures, conduct failure analysis, and manage disposition of hardware. * Communicate results and recommendations to upper management. * Participate in systemic corrective actions thru analysis of issues and working hand and hand with the engineering design teams for implementation. * Serve as a technical resource for electronics suppliers, to collaborate on quality and rigor in fabrication of printed circuit boards, circuit card assemblies, and critical electrical components. * Continual process improvement to include leading design for test (DFT) and design for manufacturability (DFM) initiatives in conjunction with design engineering team * Interpret engineering, military, and manufacturing specifications * Training and development of Test Technicians in troubleshooting and efficient execution of test procedures What required background will make you successful? * Minimum relevant educational training and experience: * Associates degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) preferred, with a focus on test engineering, computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering; AND equivalent (5) years of additional relevant experience. * Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) preferred, with a focus on test engineering, computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering; AND equivalent (3) years of additional relevant experience. * Minimum of (3) years of relevant experience in Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) testing, including troubleshooting to the electronic component level. * Minimum of (3) years of relevant experience in using Digital and Radio Frequency (RF) lab equipment for CCA testing, including RF Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, and Digital Multimeters. * Proficiency in reading schematics, interpreting engineering specifications, and troubleshooting failed electronics hardware * Experience in problem solving methodologist (ex: fishbone diagram, Pareto analysis, 5-Why methodology, Six Sigma, etc.) to support root cause analysis and corrective action * Desire to work in a hands-on role in direct support of production activities and spend time vast majority of time in and around a production lab environment * Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI security clearance * US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED Preferred skills: * Ability to create and/or modify test scripts and data visualization tools in MATLAB, Python or similar tools * Ability to create and/or modify test automation software (DIAdem or similar) * Working experience non-Windows environments such as UNIX and/or LINUX Where is the position located?
