ELECTRONICS TECH III - RADAR - Marshall Islands
Duties
The Electronics Technician III must meet the qualification requirements and have at least five (5) years’ experience:
- Supervising the CNS work center that performs support and maintenance of Radar equipment
- Repairing, overhauling, modifying ground radar systems including analog-to digital interface systems such as STRAP, etc.
- Isolating malfunctions by prescribed systems checking procedures, visual inspections, voltage checks and other tests using electronic test equipment.
- Accomplishing organizational and intermediate level equipment modifications according to time compliance technical orders (TCTOs)
- Assembling, installing, and repairing antenna systems, transmission lines, and waveguides
- Performing corrosion control
- Ensuring maintenance data collection forms and inspections and maintenance records are accurately completed
- Maintaining Facilities Status Records
- Independently verifying operational condition of radar and integrated system to be within prescribed parameters in accordance with (IAW) applicable Technical Order/Manual or directive (commercial manuals, FAA Orders, and CEMIs).
- Repairing, adjusting and aligning radar and integrated system to pass recertification and periodic flight checks.
- Repairing, adjusting, and aligning interface equipment for radar display in control tower.
- Set up and use standard and advance radar test equipment and familiar with technical manuals
- Capability of leading and providing technical leadership to 6 or more people
Requirements
Education:
Associate degree in Industrial Electronics, completion of an accredited Technical Apprentice Program in Electronics or equivalent military training Formal electronics training from: Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics for radar systems and/or demonstrated ability to perform leadership and maintenance tasks and 5 years or more of experience.
Basic Qualifications
- US citizen with a Department of Defense security clearance (selected applicant will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information). Minimum of three (3) years of hands-on experience in electronics repair, maintenance and testing air traffic control (ATC) surveillance radar systems.
- Must be a graduate of a high school or a trade school & possess valid US driver’s license with photo.
- US citizen with a Department of Defense security clearance (selected applicant will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information).
- Minimum of five (5) years of hands-on experience performing preventive maintenance on ATC radar systems and related equipment, inspecting equipment at specified intervals determining operational status, replacing defective components, performing operational checks, and maintaining inspection and maintenance records.
- Digital Airport Surveillance Radars Systems (DASR), and Standard Terminal Automation Replacement System (STARS) certification.
Desired Skills
Minimum of five (5) years of “hands on” work experience repairing, overhauling, modifying
ground radar systems, including automated radar tracking systems; isolating malfunctions by prescribed systems checking procedures, visual inspections, voltage checks and other tests using electronic test equipment; accomplishing organizational and intermediate level equipment modifications according to time compliance technical orders; assembling, installing, and repairing antenna systems, transmission lines, and waveguides; performing corrosion control.

Additional Experience Maintaining FPN-63, GPN-22, GPN-27 (or 20), MPN-25,
or TPN-19. Minimum of two (2) years of hands-on experience in electronics repair, maintenance and testing of at least one of the ATC Radar systems and a Precision Approach Radar system.
Salary Range: $140K + Yearly Salary (tax free incentives)
