First Division Consulting is seeking a highly capable mission-driven Electronics Technical Analyst with extensive knowledge and understanding of electronics, electronics theory and able to reverse engineer complex electronic components. • Electronics Technical Analyst to exploit and reverse engineer novel electronic devices
• This is a deployable position
• Associate of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering Technology (AAS, two years) degree or an applicable technical field from an accredited college with 3-5 years of professional work experience in a relevant technical field
• Or 5-7 years of professional military experience as an electronic technician
• Possess or able to obtain a secret clearance
Responsibilities
• Exploit, analyze, characterize and identify novel electronic circuits of near peer competitor nation weapons/surveillance platforms and IEDs to include electrical systems, electronic RF receiver and transmitter modules, circuit board characteristics, IC components, operating frequencies and power systems
• Reverse engineer electronic systems to understand their design, functionality, and potential weaknesses
• Reconstruct system architecture and operation of electronic components to provide detailed technical insights
• Deliver reports, briefings and presentations to military personnel, intelligence analysts, and other stakeholders to convey analysis results and strategic recommendations
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, intelligence analysts, and military personnel, to integrate electronic systems analysis into broader defense strategies
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and contribute to collaborative projects
• Identify electronic components, conduct research and provide information on system design and construction, and develop accurate schematics of devices
• Analyze, demodulate and decode signals in order to extract intelligence data using standardized demodulation and decoding tools and techniques for commonly encountered signals
• Perform Electronic Data Recovery (EDR) of logical and physical data on cell phones, media storage devices, aerial/underwater drones, and GPS systems using hardware/software tools including Cellebrite UFED, XRY, FTK and other forensic tools and analyze EDR files to recover data that may be of investigative or intelligence value
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and advancements in electronics, foreign weapon systems, signal processing, and other exploitation techniques
• Participate in professional development activities to enhance expertise and stay current with industry trends
• Support development of countermeasures for electronic devices/signals
• Provide information to assist in profiling and signature analysis
• Produce storyboards and technical reports on captured data
• Maintain and document chain of custody of items and data
• Provide basic electronics training for partner nation personnel if/as required
• Engage with partner nation personnel promoting Subject Matter Expert Exchange (SMEE) forums in support of mission requirements
Qualifications
• Current DOD Secret clearance is preferred or the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
• Associate of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering Technology (AAS, two years) degree or an applicable technical field from an accredited college with 3-5 years of professional work experience in a relevant technical field
• Or 5-7 years of professional military experience as an electronic technician
• Physical ability and commitment to deploy globally as a TXP&AXC team member
• Understanding of lab processes and workflow for device exploitation efforts and profiling
• Experience must include electronic Printed circuit Board (PCB) assembly and troubleshooting, Radio Frequency (RF) field, operation of lab instrumentations including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, power supplies, communication receivers, RF signal generators and handheld digital multi-meters and schematic capture tools
• Must possess excellent communication skills, both oral and written, in English
• Must possess excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
