Summary

We’re hiring a hands-on Electronics Development Specialist to join a small, fast-paced engineering team focused on developing next-generation detection technology. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being in the center of it all—building prototypes, troubleshooting systems, and directly contributing to product development. It’s a full-time, direct hire opportunity where your impact will be immediate and visible.

What You’ll Do:

  • Build, assemble, and troubleshoot electronic prototypes with a high level of quality and attention to detail.
  • Support the design, development, and testing of electronic circuits and systems.
  • Create and maintain technical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and BOMs.
  • Assist in PCB layout work and participate in design reviews.
  • Define and implement test procedures for engineering validation and production QA.
  • Support system-level integration, including Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) and Ethernet communications.
  • Collaborate closely with software developers, technicians, and production staff.
  • Contribute to the design of product enclosures and packaging.
  • Travel every other week until the fall to support project launches and development efforts.

What You Bring:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience building, testing, and troubleshooting electronic systems.
  • Proficiency in soldering, rework, and small-batch circuit board assembly.
  • Familiarity with PCB design tools (Altium, KiCad, Eagle) and ability to assist with basic layout tasks.
  • Experience working with Ethernet-based systems and PoE.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to document work clearly.
  • Comfortable adapting to a variety of tasks in a fast-moving, small team environment.

Preferred:

  • Experience with embedded systems and microcontroller integration.
  • Familiarity with CAD tools like SolidWorks or Fusion 360.
  • Understanding of compliance standards (FCC, CE, UL) and environmental testing.
  • Background in manufacturing, small-batch production, or ruggedized electronics.

If you’re hands-on, like seeing your work make a real difference, and want to be part of a growing company where you can wear multiple hats, we’d love to connect.
